Context

Human pressures on the Earth’s ecosystems and climate, unless mitigated substantially, will cause dangerous climate change, massive species extinctions, and the destruction of vital life-supporting functions.
Yet, effective ways of mitigating emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG) such as CO₂ are available. There is a growing consensus that emissions can be reduced without damaging prosperity in either the developed or developing world. Reducing emissions will require a transformation of our economies but not giving up on growth.

Vision

Futureproofed wants to help being a factor 10 more efficient with energy and resources by 2050. This is absolutely necessary to counter the threat of climate change and collapsing ecosystems. To achieve this we will need to make choices for a change. No, we don’t need to go back into history.
Factor 10 is a choice for a more attractive, affordable, profitable and comfortable future with a higher standard of living for more people.
